PENNSYLVANIA Hine! Head To Con A& SSA Class Rabbi Benjamin Kahn, director of the Hillel Foundation, will con duct one of three non-credit courses in religion sponsored by the Penn. State Christian Associa tion. He will lecture on "What the Jews Believe" at 4 p.m. Mon day in 304 Old Main. The one hour classes will con tinue throughout the semester every Monday afternoon. The Rev. Luther H. Harshbarger, College chaplain and executive secretary of PSCA, will conduct the Tues day afternoon classes and Mary Jane Wyland of the Christian As sociation will serve as coordinator for the series on "The Student and Religious Education." The origins and development of aspects of the Jewish religion such as the idea of God, torah and ceremonies will be the sub ject of Rabbi Kahn's lectures. He will relate their influence on Christianity. Discussions on the similarity and differences be tween religions will be included in the course. Harshbarger's classes on "An Introduction to the New Testa rrient," will begin at 4 p.m. Tues day in 304 Old Main. The lan guage, text and historical signi ficance of the New Testament along with a history of the early church will be part of the weekly course. The third non-credit course sponsored by the Christian Asso ciation is designed for students interested in teaching Sunday school in the modern church school. Miss Wyland will coordi nate discussion methods, curricu lums, literature and' other mat ters of use to College students who wish to serve their com munity in this capacity.- Enrollments for the courses are still being accepted in 304 Old Main. The opportunity of gaining religious knowledge in these three fields is being offered to students without prerequisites, grades or examinations. Walter to Address Bible Fellowship The Rev. True to the -Dogpatch theme of the dance, it will be a Sadie Haw kins affair, giving the weaker sex a chance to ask their favorite to be their escort. And the dress is very informal—blue jeans. • • This is an opportunity for the girls to show their talent by mak ing their partner a corsage -for the dance. Anything from just plain vegetables to elaborate scenes such as a circus have been used in the past. Two prizes will be given for the most original creations. Lancaster Company Employs Seven Alums Three graduates of the College have entered the industrial train ing program of Armstrong Cork Co. in Lancaster. Edstrom, and Leonard Ray Jr. Chilean ,Prof Observes Phases of Education Dr. Oscar L. Vera, supervisor of education in Santiago, Chile, has been observing various phases of education at the College for the past two days. When Dr. Vera returns to Chile, he will resume his position as professor of philosophy at the University of Chile. 4-H Club to Meet The campus 4-H Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in 100 Hort.
