Paul Christoff, father of the dead girl, told police his son suf fered a nervous breakdown in 1949, forcing him to leave school in his junior year. He was attend ing Carnegie Institute of Tech nology in Pittsburgh. The father told police that Jean often went to the woods hunting and trapping. /He left home for as long as eight or nine days, and his absence at this time was not unusual. Police stressed that Jean was wanted only for questioning. Miss Christoff had not officially withdrawn from the College. She did not register this semester, but was previously assigned to stu dent teach in Hollidaysburg. She did not report there at the start of the semester. She went to the home of an aunt, Mrs. Blair Kelley of Al toona, who called the College and asked that her grades be defer red. Unless there is moral regeneraifon throughout the world, there is little hope for humankind. Both church and synagogue are trying to meet this need. They may not have all the answers. But they are in the game fighting— doing the best they can with what they have. Why not get in the game and help them? Don't stand on the out side and criticize. Come in and work from the inside to make your church or synagogue all that it can and ought to be. Roman Catholic Church Fairmount Ave. and Frasier St. The Rev. John C. O'Leary Rector and The Rev.
