FMA to Hold
First Meeting
On Constitution
The first full meeting of the
Fraternity Marketing Association
t 9 be held at 7:30 tonight in 219
Electrical Engineering will con
sider adoption of a proposed con
stitution.
All fraternities participating in
the organization are expected to
appoint a FMA representative
who will attend tonight's meeting
and have a vote in the develop
ment of the organization.
• The meeting will also hear a
report on the Association of Fra
ternity Counselors-Interfraternity
Council joint buying committee
which has been purchasing can
ned goods and potatoes for the
present participating groups.
• • A committee will be appointed
to nominate persons to fill posts
as FMA directors.
Fraternities who have been
purchasing through the AFC-IFC
buying 'committee are considered
by the incorporators of FMA as
charter members.
Selianitis to Speak
Spyros Selianitis, an employee
of the Greek Ministry of Agri
culture who is doing graduate
work at the College, will speak
to the Hellenic Society at 7:30
tonight in the TUB. Slides on
Greece will be presented, an d
a discussion period will follow
the talk.

charter sought.
Mackey said recently he an
ticipated no difficulty in ob
taining the FCC charter. The'
charter would allow the station
to broadcast as a frequency
modulation educational station
at the College. Although the
station would be FM, students
in the dormitories would re
ceive the signals on ordinary
amplitude modulation radios.
Honorary to Hold
Ed Workshops
Workshops in teaching will be
sponsored by Pi Lambda Theta,
national honorary association for
women in education, at 7:30 to
night in the State College High
School library. .
Those present will be divided
into small groups for discussion
which will cover all areas in
teaching for pre-service teachers.

Debate Tryouts
Set for Feb. 2
First call for tryouts for the
women's debate squad will be
held at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 in 2 Sparks.
At that time Clayton H. Schug,
associate professor of public
speaking and debate- coach, will
explain the national topic, Re
solved: That the Congress of the
United States should enact a com
pulsory fair employment prac
tices law.
No previous experience in de
bating is necessary, and all un
dergraduate women are eligible
for the squad, according to Mar

May Tour College
Approximately 1600 Cen t r e

The tours, ' which will begin

first floor of Mineral Industries
Building, are being sponsored by
the Penn State Alumni Club of

Skating Club
To Be Formed
A campus ice skating club will
be formed at a meeting at 7 to
night at Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
' The club will be affiliated with
the Nittany Valley Skating Club
of State College, headed by John
D. Dittmar, recreational director
of State College.
The Nittany Valley Skating
Club intends to utilize Whipple's
Dam this winter, but hopes to
have a flooded area in the vicinity
of State College available next
year, Dittmar said. Future plans.
include the promotion of a per
manent local ice rink.
Whipple's will be tested daily
and conditions will be announced
via bulletins on campus and over
WMAJ. Plans are being consid
ered to get a power line from
the College to set up floodlights
and music for night skating. ,
