Garber, director of the U.S. Regional Pasture Research Laboratory at the College, has accepted a one-year position in Rome, Italy, with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. He succeeds Dr. Fred F Liniger as chief of the branch of agri cultural institutions and services of the FAO. Dr. Garber has served as direc tor of the Pasture Research Lab oratory since its establishment at the College. Dr. Liniger, re tired director of the Pennsylvania Agricultural Experiment Station and an aide in the establishment of the pasture laboratory, will be promoted to new deputy admin istrator for the entire agricultural division of FAO.
