WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1952 Five Chosen as Belle-Hop Ball Queen Finalists Andree Bloom Queen to Be Chosen at Dance Saturday in Recreation Hall The Belle-Hop Ball Queen will be chosen at the dance Saturday night from the five finalists named Monday—Andree Bloom, Jean Krewson, Barbara Patton, Maud Strawn, and Barbara Werts. The Belle-Hop Ball, an annual informal dance held by the Penn sylvania Junior Greeters, will be held from 9 p.m. to midnight in Recreation Hall. Jim Erb’s Blue Notes orchestra- will play. Miss Bloom, a junior in the School of Home Economics, is sponsored by the Agriculture Stu 7 dent Council. She has held no previous titles. Chosen 'Best Looking' A first semester freshman in the School of Liberal Arts, Miss Krewson Ifes chosen art educa tion as her major. A graduate of Mayfair High School, she was elected by the students as the “Lady” of her class. She is spon sored by Delta Upsilon. Pi Kappa Phi is sponsoring Miss Patton, a third semester sophomore. Miss Patton was elected “best looking” of her high school senior class. Miss Strawn, third semester sophomore, was maid of honor in the May Day court last spring. Two WSGA freshman senators, two WRA freshman representa- tives, and one WRA sophomore representative will be elected Oct. 30. Primaries are Oct. 28. Any freshman woman is eligible to nominate herself for WSGA freshman senator or WRA fresh man representative.
