This month we all celebrate the 500th anniversary of Gutenberg's invention of printing with movable type. The first book ever to be printed was the bible. ' Then it was in Latin. Through the ages God's` word has been brought to men in the language of their times. Once in the 16th century the -Bible was so scarce and- costly that it was chained to a Church pillar but it was open for. all to read. This month ONE MILLION COPIES of the new Revised Standard Version will be published the "Greatest Bible News in 341 years." Get it. Read it. Live by it. The rally, which lasted only half an hour, found an unexpected participant in th r e-year-old Cathy Martin.. Cathy wandered away from her mother to the cheering group, where she helped rouse the crowd in "Hail to the Lion." Cathy is the daughter of Wal ter and Doris Martin. Her father plays in the percussion section of the Blue Band. • Another distraction was a fe male mallard duck, which was picked up beside Old Main by Wayne Sexauer, seventh semester student, on his way to the rally. Sexauer admitted •that this - was the first wild duck he had ever captured alive. He took the duck home with him, hoping his land lady would not object. He said that she had strict ruleS about cats and dogs but never had men tioned ducks. For Best Results Use Collegian Classifieds WAITRESS WANTED for • night. work, Preferably a student's wife.
