Mrs. Farrington spoke at a banquet which was part of the four day Eastern Intercollegiate Asso ciation •of 'Women Student's con vention ending today: One hun dred thirtyeight delegates from 57 colleges are attending the•con vention In order to make each individ ual's, influence felt, the wife of the Hawaiian delegate to Con gress suggested - a rededication, to the. Declaration of Independence, the' Constitution, and the Bill of Rights; the exercise of the fran chise; and the voicing of approval or , disgust of government policy by letters and telegrams. • Workshop Planned In the final phase of the con vention, Betty Richardson will be toastmistress at a breakfast 8 a.m. today at the Allencrest Tea Room, Sponsored by Cw en s, Chimes; and Mortar Board, wom en's honoraries, the breakfast will honor delegates who are members of any sophomore hon orary, Chimes, or Mortar Board. Miller to Officiate A discussion on educational in tegration in Simmons Hall lounge and one on career and/or mar riage in Atherton hall southeast lounge will be held at 9 a.m. Virginia Miller, co-chairman' of the convention, will preside at the final sessions at 10:15 a.m. in 405 Old Main. Delegates will eat lunch in the College dining halls and see the final' Olympic 'tryouts tonight in Recreation Hall. President Milton S. Eisenhower told the delegates at ,a luncheon Thursday that development of world understanding ampng,, in dividuals was a step toward long range peace. He cited language barriers, differences in concepts, political censorship, and propa ganda as impediments to world' peace.
