They sug gested that he go to 'Hollywood, and said they would do what they could to help him. The best plans can go awry, however, and as Taylor soon found himself in Hollywood with no income, he took a doorman's job in a Hollywood theater. After several months Metro Goldwyn Mayer agreed to give him a screen test, and he was signed and cast in a show as a result. Before the picture was half completed Taylor was drafted into the Air Corps. Faith in God is a requisite to.right living. Knowing God as our Creator and Benefactor buttresses man for the trials and temptations of life. Faith in our fellowmen is necessary in our complex social and economic life. Every man is to be trusted until proven unworthy of our confidence. Faith in one's self provides the "drive" that allows one to climb the ladder of success. The man who lacks self-confidence will not in spire it in others. Even the security of a weekly paycheck couldn't com pensate for that. As a result Taylor has ap peared in "Battleground," "Father of the Bride," and "Father's Little Dividend," and had the part of the young doctor in "The Blue Veil." JOHN F.
