'Dog' Roasting Done
By Electricity Now
You don't have to wait until
spring to roast a hot dog that
is tender and full of flavor. Milt
Smith. a member of Alpha Ep
silon Pi fraternity, has discover
ed a unique way to roast hot
dogs.
The process is to stick the
prongs of two forks into the ends
of a hot dog. Then twist two
wires around the fork handles
and plug the wires into a electric
outlet.
At first there is no change in
the hot dog, Smith reported, but
in about two minutes the "dog
gie" cracks down the center and
is ready to eat.

S. Fine to order an investigation
of subversive activities at Penn
State was modified by the state
convention of the Legion to ask
for an investigation of all state
supported institutions.
The renewal of the charges on
Dec. 2 came, the Legion charged,
"because of the continued appear
ance on the Penn State campus
of speakers whose un-American
activities have been cited-by both
state and national groups. Neither
the July 22 or Dec. 2 statements
carried any names.
It has been said that the art
of good conversation is the ability
to listen.

Traffic Survey
!r ,vo I ves 5000
A, , tomobiles
Nearly 5000 automobiles are
involved in campus traffic and
parking problems, according to
the traffic census taken recently
by the department of the physical
plant.
Walter Wiegand, head of the
department, conducted the sur r
vey to get more information for
further study of College traffic.
Wiegand said a committee has
been named to carry on this
study.
Of the 5000 cars, 2197 are stu
dent-owned, of which 933 belong
to off-campus residents and, 437
to commuters. Officials said these
figures may vary about ten per
cent because of indifference or
misunderstanding of the purpose
of the survey.
