Locked Desk Stops Losses at News Stand No further losses have been reported at the- West Dorm daily newsstand since a .locked desk with slots was installed last Wed nesday. Burton Jones, manager of the Student News Agency, said the appearance of some 25 cent pieces in the- box indicates that some students may have solved the problem of getting change by paying for several days' papers at one time. The SNA sells e about 1000 papers a day during the week and averages 3500 on Sundays. WD Facilities Are Only for Residents The Dean of Men's office yes terday reminded students t h a.t the privileges of the West Dorms are maintained for the use of res idents of the dormitories only. Frank Simes, chief resident ad viser of the West Dorms, said that a number of reports ha d been received from counselors that students living in town have been using the shower facilities in the West Dorms, especially on Saturday. nights. He said that the students liv ing in the area are paying for the use of the facilities in their room rent, and that it is - unfair for other students to make use of them. CAMPUS r . ,t.). ctrl . I=== March . of Dimes Heart Fund Free Election Trip Canceled An offer for free transporta tion to Philadelphia for next Tuesday's election was canceled because of the poor response, Lorraine Dalphin, wh o was in charge of arrangements, said/yes terday. Only• 13 students answered the ad which first appeared in the Daily Collegian Sept. 25. After hearing that Penn State students could afford neither the time nor money necessary to re turn home to vote, Richard Dil worth, Democratic candidate for Philadelphia city treasurer on the ticket headed by Joseph Clark, offered free transportation to Philadelphia and a lunch, to the first 50 students who signed for the trip. A greater response to the ad was expected by Miss Dalphin because of the large number of students who signed the National Student Association's absentee voting petition last spring. A bus was to be chartered by Dilworth so that the trip was to be made in one day. Parking Lots-- (Continued from rage one) with spaces for 65 cars; and north of the Service Building with spaces for 60 cars.
