WEDNESDAY,- AtitTva.il 1, 1951 Outdoor Filrn 'Fun Night' Friday . Tonight at 9 p.m. on front campus at the Pugh street gate, a movie, "Of Mice and Men", will be shown. Starring in the film will be Lon Chaney, Jr. and, Burgess Meredith. In case of rain, the mo tion picture will be shown in Schwab auditorium. Friday night, the second Fun Night of the Summer Session will be held in Recreation Hall. The event will feature badminton, ping pOng, cards, volleyball, and dancing to recorded music. And Saturday night, another popular square dance is scheduled for the TUB at 9 O'clock. The Key stone Four will provide the music and Fred Hartswick will be the caller. Admission is free. The dance will last until midnight. The . group sing will be held as, usual Monday night at-8 o'clock in Schwab auditorium. Hummel Fishburn and Frank Gullo will conduct the singing. Bridge Session Also slated for Monday night is the duplicate bridge session at the TUB. It will get under Way at 6:45 p.m. The regular schedule will be maintained at Glennland pool this week for mixed i swimming. The pool is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights from 8:30 to 10 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. for coed'swimming. They beat the Wonders 18-5, and later in the week shut out Mu Lambda, 13-0. The Dood lers have now gone undefeated in six games. Also, East Stroudsburg con tinued undefeated by knocking off Greehnouse 4-1, and smother ing Beta Sigma Rho 19-0. They have won four games. Beaver House continued to press the leaders with a forfeit win over the Woodchoppers and a 9-7 victory over the Wonders. Beaver House has now lost one game while winning four. Ralph Wert, tournament direc tor, said yesterday that some of the matches would have to be forfeited if competitors do not complete their scheduled matches. In women's singles competition,' Hyman defeated Turshottan to move into the semi-finals. Her PAGE SEVEN opposition will be the winner of the Zerbe-Parsons match. The mixed doUbles have reached the quarter-finals. Haft- Moss won over Simon-Hyman by default. Doehar-Rock and Davis- Pershotten have moved into the quarter-finals by drawing byes. Men's singesl competition shows seven matches played. Davis byed and won in the semi-finals from Simon via the forfeit route. Corrado beat Miller in one match and went on to defeat Jackson later in the week. Tennis Coach Sherm Fogg beat Brubaker but then lost to Ty ranee. Tyrance had advanced by drawing a bye in the prelimin aries.
