SATURDAY, MABC!I 3,1951 State Wrestlers Season; By GEORGE GLAZER Special to the Daily Collegian ITHACA, N.Y., March 3 Penn State's wrestling team pulled in here last night, determined to give Coach Charlie Speidel his fourth urdefeated season in 25 years at the reins of Nittany mat. fortunes! The Lions now have a season record of seven straight wins and wind up their dual-meet season with. Cornell's wrestlers. - Captain Homer Barr will lay the most outstanding win streak in the East on the line in today's match. Barr will be after his 24th straight dual-meet victory with out a defeat in his three seasons as State's heavyweight. Rubino, Reese Conclude Careers Besides Barr e two other seniors will make their last appearance in dual meet competition for the Lions. Mike Rubino, who will switch back to his usual position at 177, and 123-pounder Johnny Reese wind up their collegiate careers except for the Easterns— and possibly the Nationals. Rubino, after splitting two de cisions at 167, shifts back to his old stand to take on Cornell's Don Dickason in the light-heavyweight tussle. Joe. Lemyre, a sophom4re who has a record of 6-1 for the season, begins all over again in 167, taking on the Big Red's John Arnold. Barr, is icheduled to meet Dick Clark - in the heavyweight divi sion, but Clark has missed the last two Cornell matches due to. an injury. Cornell Coach Jim Miller has not decided on a replacement if • Clark cannot wrestle. Dreibelbis Sits Out Reese will meet sophomore Dick Delgado in the 123-pound opener. Dean Harbold will be in at 130 again, replacing Jack Dreibelbis, who was injured in the Syracuse match two weeks . ago. Harbold will meet Big Red Captain Pete Bolanis. Don Maurey, with a 5-2 season record, meets Bill Van Gilder in the 137-pound match, in a battle that could turn out to be the best of the meet. Another good bout is in pros pect when two undefeated sopho mores, State Don Frey and Cor nell's Frank Bettuci, hook up in 147. Frey has a record of 7-0, Bet tuci a 9-0 log. Bill Santel, who has lost only once this season, will probably meet Paul Sampson in the 157- pound battle. There is a possibili ty that the Cornell lineup may be shifted so that Sampson will move up to 167, with Arnold dropping down to 157. For Best Results Use Collegian Classified • Here They Are!
