Passeri said Duckett had given this information in class. Reached in Clearfield Wednesday night by Clements, Duckett first denied having seen Passeri that afternoon after class, and then changed his story. He said he had had coffee and played pinochle with him at the TUB. He denied having given any information about the exami nation to his class. Clements said that Duckett had told him in an interview yester day afternoon that, in view of Passeri’s statements, Duckett did not wish to make any statement. Security Measures During the questioning of Pas seri, Clements said “We have adopted security measures in our department that are the most stringent possible. I do not even have a key to where the exami nations are kept.” Clements said that the examination had not been mimeographed at the time of the disclosure and that Duckett had made up that part of the ex amination Passeri had in his pos session. “The mere fact that Passeri had part of the examination is an in dication that the leak was not in side the office,” Clements said. Only one of the six economics and commerce tests also known to be in the hands of students was known to be on sale on campus, the Collegian has learned. The answers to the Commerce 25 ex amination were being sold for $25 Wednesday. Exams Rewritten Leonard has ordered all six ex aminations, as well as all others mimeographed in the past few days, to be rewritten. In addition to the Commerce 25 examination, other finals known to have fallen into the hands of students are Economics 50 and 23, and Com merce 50, 30, and 24. The leak in his department was in the mimeographing process, Leonard explained. A new secre tary was assigned to do the mim eographing, and was not aware that she was supposed to turn in bad copies of the test, Leonard said. The. secretary threw these copies into a waste basket, and some students apparently recov ered them from the receptacle, Leonard said. Collegian reporters discovered the loss of the finals. Having ob tained part of the first question of the Commerce 30 final,. they were able to verify that a copy of the legitimate test was missing.
