PAGE EIGHT Library Exhibit To Contimie An exhibit on Pennsylvania Germans will be continued at the Fred Lewis Pattee Library at the College as a part of the ob servance of Pennsylvania Week. 'Prepared from materials select ed by Dr. Philip A. Shelley and Dr. Albert F. Buffington, both of the German department, and Dr. Maurice A. Mook, associate pro fessor of anthropology, the ex hibit emphasizes the background and culture of the Pennsylvania Germans. Books and periodicals illustrating the history, customs, language, literature and art of the Germans can be seen in the lobby of the library. Devoted To Amish One case, devoted to the Amish, ,contains copies of books in Ger man which they read, such as the Bible. On view in the wall case are photographs taken by Robert S. Beese of the School of Agriculture showing farms in nearby Big Valley. Another case includes a copy of the Morning Call of Allentown which is opened to an article about a former Pennsylvania German family, the Eisenhowers. Drawings Displayed Dr. Harold E. Dickson, profess or of fine arts, has displayed on the second floor photographs and architectural drawings of some Pennsylvania German buildings including the Cloisters at Eph rata, the Moravian buildings at Bethlehem, and Old Economy at Ambridge. PSCA Work Party Planned Tomorrow The Penn State Christian asso ciation will sponsor a school house paint party tomorrow at Stony Point. Interested persons will meet in the rear of Old Main at 1:15 p.m. dressed in old work clothes.
