PAGE FOUR New Dean's Aides Bring Poise, Intelligence To Jobs Mary Brewer, Patricia Thomp son, and Marian Crossen, three new assistants to the Dean of Women, bring to their jobs the intelligence and understanding prized so much by the co-eds who venture into 105 Old Main. All three women said they were im mediately impressed upon coming to the College with the beauty of the campus, the sincere friendli ness of the students, and the ac tive and capable women's student body. Looks Like a Coed Miss Brewer, who is in charge of activities, including Cwens, Pan Hellenic Council, and WSGA, is a young woman who might easily be mistaken for a co-ed. In fact, she has been. After graduat ing from James Millikin Univer sity at Decatur, Illinois, she took her graduate work for a masters degree at the University of Chi cago and Columbia University. Baseball is her favorite sport with the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs her special prodigies. • Cleveland Indian Fan Miss Thompson, in charge of Orientation week, Chimes, Leo- Grid Air Duel --- (Continued front page three) An outstanding defensive play er last year, Hardiman has de veloped into Margarita's number one passer since the start of drills. Hard-Hitting Fullback Fullback Gino Paglucia, a tank like sophomore from Massachu setts, has been going well in prac tice sessions, and will probably be the' principal ball-toter for the Hoyas. Paglucia will have a trio of speedsters as stable mates. Bugs Thompson, Ralph Charney, and Jack O'Mahoney have shown enough ability at ball carrying to give any opponent the shivers. Facing a rough nine game sche dule this year, it is doubtful whe ther the Hoyas will improve on their 1949 record of five wins and five losses. Coming to George town last year, the youthful Margarita began a rebuilding pro cess very similar to that facing Rip Engle this year. Separated from 20 letermen, including most of last year's starters, the one time Brown and Chicago Bear great is forced to start all over again.
