The first game will start at 1:30 p.m. Bill Bair (2-0) will start the first game for the Lions. In the second game, Al Tkac is scheduled to go, but a torn liga ment in his back is not responding to treatment and he may not be ready to take the hill. If Tkac is not ready, either Merle Gunnet (0-0), Bill Everson (1-0) or Dalton Rumberger (0-2 1 ? will start in his place. In any event, Herb Budin, who impressed favor ably in relief against Bucknell, Monday, will be Coach Joe Be den k's fireman Five Ready Syracuse will have five pitchers ready to go on the mound. The Orange will throw either Paul Royer, Gerry Ackley, Dave Bow ers, Bucky Roch 6 or Bill Michaels against the .Lions. The •regular Lion lineup will see one change, that being in the outfield. Hen Albright, regular left fielder, is expected to be side lined tomorrow. He has been suf fering from a bruised shin this week which hampers his running. Bill• Ondick will replace him in left. Ondick, according to the latest batting averages, is leading the team with .750. Rumberger is next with .500. Tkac is hitting .428, while Jack •Xurty is leading the regulars with .357. Captain Dick Wertz, is leading his team mates in extra base blows with two doubles and three home runs. Bair Lowest Bair has thelowest earned run average, .98, for. 18A innings. Houseparties Virginia Cavaliers Face Lion Stickmen Tomorrow Penn State's lacrosse team opens 'a two game home stand tomorrow afternoon when it takes on the powerful Virginia Cavaliers on the golf course practice field. The game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Coach Nick Thiel's stickmen will again be cast in the role of the underdogs. The Cavaliers, very much in the running for 'national honors, hold a 13-6 vic tory over Syracuse which topped the Statemen last week by a con vincing, 17-3, count. Johns Hopkins, last year's co national champion, and Maryland, are the only teams to record wins over Virginia this season. Mary land had to force the contest into an overtime to accomplish the feat. Delta Tau Delta beat Acacia by the same score, both teams play ing in first encounters. For the Delts, Tom Brown scored two and Bob Chase one to share scoring honors. SUNDAY, MAY 21 Blue Band Concert Schwab Auditorium Two All-Americans grace the Virginia lineup in Proutt and Hooper. In addition to these two, the entirety of the Cavalier line up is composed of men from Balti more, "the hotbed of collegiate lacrosse." The Lions have been scrim maging all week in an attempt to get in as much actual game ex perience as they can. The possi bility of a State victory was raised somewhat with the return of in jured Burt Raymond to the ac tive list, and the possibility of veteran John Hagerman seeing limited action. Bleachers have been set up on the field this week to accommo date spectators.
