Ptimary, elections will be held• on Tuesday in dormitory units when the number of candidates for each office will be reduced to two. Final elections will be held the following Thursday. Panhellenic Votes No Frosh Rushing A rule forbidding rushing of freshmen women next year was passed by the Pan-Hellenic Coun cil at a recent meeting. Members of the council express ed the desire to rush all sopho mores at one time to provide a fairer opportunity to College women who spend the first year at a center. Members also felt the lack of interest of the freshmen women at the second semester formal rushing period showed a willingness on their part to wait for a year before joining a soror ity. The Council also passed a reso lution to 'haVe only one formal rushing,period a year. This would occur in the fall semester. In stead of having open houses at spring semester, the Council voted to have open bidding with no open houses. It was decided to consider as eligible for rushing any upper classman with a deferred grade\ if her average were above a 1.0 quality point whftn the deferred grade was averaged in as a bar two. , The Council voted in fator of giving the Junior Pan-Hellenic Council $lOO for its treasury. The Council also' approved the .plan, of awarding the Junkir Council five dollars from each sorority every, yeat to supplement its treasury. Pan-Hellenic decided to keep fees for next yeat at the same.
