PAGE FOUR WSGA Votes Down Proposal To Appoint Judicial Advisor WSGA voted against a suggestion to appoint a specific advisor to Judicial, as was suggested by Marie Card, a checker in Women's Building, at its regular meeting Tuesday night. In voting down the proposal, however, WSGA did agree that a permanent place for the files of Judicial should be maintained in the dean of women's office especially for the periods during vaca tion. Reasons For Advisor In presenting her proposals Miss Card gave three reasons which to her necessitated having an advisor who would sit in on all' Judicial meetings. T h es e were that 'an advisor would be able to give experience and de cisions made by previous groups, be able to keen files over sum mer and vacations, and able to answer any questions which par ents might wish to know. Connie Croushore, chairman of Judicial and Patricia Carlisle and Rose Eifert, members of the body presented rebuttals .to Miss Card's arguments. In the first place a continuity of member ship is maintained as girls ap pointed usually serve for three years unless they resign. In addi tion a complete record of files is kept. Moreover, one of the most ser ious objections to Judicial is that it is operated under the thumb of the dean of women's office Graduate Examinations The closing date for registra tion for the Graduate Record examination is Jan, 18. The examination will be given on campus Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3 and 4. Application forms and additional information can be procured from Dr. A. R. Grove Jr., in Buckhout Laboratory.
