PAGE FOUR First Sorority Rushing Period Begins Today With Registration • Registration for the first formal sorority rushing period will be held today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to noon in the dean of women's office, according to the Panhellenic rushing schedule. Coeds desiring to be rushed are reminded by Delores Jelacic; president of Panhel, that a $l.OO fee must be paid at registration before a girl may be considered a rushee. Only women who have a 1.00 All-College average and have been on the College campus one semester or at a State Teach ers' College as a Penn State fresh man can be rushed, Open Houses marking the be ginning of the actual rushing per iod will start at 2 p.m. Saturday as the first of a series of three Open Houses is held. A detailed list of sorority groupings and al phabetical groupings will be printed in a later issue of Col legian. At a Panhel meeting on Tues day night the Council decided against a motion to change open houses to another date because of the Army game. A proposed change in the rushing schedule, which moves formal coffee houls from Saturday, October 15, to Sunday, October 16, requires a special vote by all sororities be fore Panhel delegates may decide the issue. A second special meeting of the Council to vote on this question was called by Miss Jelacic for 6:30 tonight in the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority suite.
