gratulations of Bob Higgins, former head grid mentor. The picture
was taken March 12, the day that Higgins announced his resigna
tion. Bedenk has guided Nittany baseball fortunes for 19 years,
and formerly served as line coach for the football team for 20
years.

Virginia, 37-7. Navy stuns soccer
forces with a 4-0 upset.
Oct. 23—An Alumni Day crowd
watches in awe as two gridiron
powers, Penn State and Michigan
State, hammer away to a 14-14
stalemate. Booters edge highly
touted Maryland, 1-0, and harriers
lose, 36-21, to Michigan State.
Nov. 5—80,000 screaming fans
see ■ the Nittany grid machine,
spearheaded by Francis ‘ Punchy”
Rogel, the human battering ram,
ground Penn into the Franklin
Field turf, 13-0.
Nov. 15—Pi Kappa Phi ekes
