Booters edge highly touted Maryland, 1-0, and harriers lose, 36-21, to Michigan State. Nov. 5—80,000 screaming fans see ■ the Nittany grid machine, spearheaded by Francis ‘ Punchy” Rogel, the human battering ram, ground Penn into the Franklin Field turf, 13-0. Nov. 15—Pi Kappa Phi ekes past Phi Epsilon Pi, 21-20, for the intramural swimming crown. Nov. 16—State places second in the IC-4A cross-country run as Michigan State wins as predicted.
