Senate Authorizes Air Force
A 3,000 Testing Range
WASHINGTON—The Senate passed a bill yesterday author
izing the Air Force to set up a 3,000-mile testing range for guided
missiles. The Senate made changes in the bill which had already
passed the House which will require compromise with the House
before the bill goes to the President. As it stands now, the measure
authorizes a top cost of 7.5 million dollars for the testing range.
VA Cut Recommended Leftists Reiect Plan

recommended by the committee
in a money bill for 28 so-called
independent agencies. Also sub

This rejection dimmed the party's
hopes for the early formation of a

face post-war hardships. This
year's campus project is a book
fund for students in the Philip
pines. If more than $2400 is col
lected, the remainder will go for
emergency relief such as food,
clothing, books, housing, and
medical supplies.
