`Alice In Wonderland'
To Be Aquacade Theme
If you see a group of coeds looking bedraggled with their
straight wet hair, don't blame it on the rain entirely. These girls
are getting ready for the big "Alice In Wonderland" aquacade to
be given next Friday and Saturday, April 8 and i 9. in White Hall.
Forty-five girls will dramatize the many lively scenes from out
of one of the all-time favorite childen's books. The mad tea party,
the caucus race, the croquet game, and the lobster quadrille will be
a few of the incidents portrayed
by the swimmers. Some of the
numbers will be humorous while
others will be serious in nature.
The swimming will be done in
groups, with no individual spe
cialties
Pool of Tom
The pool itself will be in perfect
harmony with the occasion. It will
represent Alice's pool of tears.
If you will remember, Alice made
herself alternately, very small
and large. As she became small
once again, she had to swim
around in the tears she had shed
when she was so big.
The aquacade, which is given
by the WRA Swimming Club, in
eludes all original routines which
the girls themselves have worked
on. The costuming, also, is origi
nal.
Tickets
Admission to the two perform
ances will be by ticket only.
Tickets may be obtained from
any of the participants or mem
bers of the Swimming Club. 'Ad
mission is free and the show starts
at 8:15.
The president of the Club is
Reta Reed. Misses Ruth Leonard
and Jacqueline Zivic are the fac
ulty members who are helping
with the aquacade.
