Brown, national president, at their Founder's Day banquet last Saturday. The guests of honor were Presi dent James Milholland, 'll, Har old W. Loman, purchasing agent, '2B, and Dr. J. Benjamin Hill, as sociate professor of botany and faculty advisor of the fraternity since 1930. Gerhard Roth, chapter presi dent, served as toastmaster and received the plaque for the fra ternity. Speeches and an informal party followed the dinner served at the fraternity house. `Alice In Wonderland' To Be Aquacade Theme If you see a group of coeds looking bedraggled with their straight wet hair, don't blame it on the rain entirely. These girls are getting ready for the big "Alice In Wonderland" aquacade to be given next Friday and Saturday, April 8 and i 9. in White Hall. Forty-five girls will dramatize the many lively scenes from out of one of the all-time favorite childen's books. The mad tea party, the caucus race, the croquet game, and the lobster quadrille will be a few of the incidents portrayed by the swimmers. Some of the numbers will be humorous while others will be serious in nature. The swimming will be done in groups, with no individual spe cialties Pool of Tom The pool itself will be in perfect harmony with the occasion. It will represent Alice's pool of tears. If you will remember, Alice made herself alternately, very small and large. As she became small once again, she had to swim around in the tears she had shed when she was so big. The aquacade, which is given by the WRA Swimming Club, in eludes all original routines which the girls themselves have worked on. The costuming, also, is origi nal. Tickets Admission to the two perform ances will be by ticket only. Tickets may be obtained from any of the participants or mem bers of the Swimming Club. 'Ad mission is free and the show starts at 8:15. The president of the Club is Reta Reed. Misses Ruth Leonard and Jacqueline Zivic are the fac ulty members who are helping with the aquacade. AEPhi's Capture IM Table Tennis Alpha Epsion Phi defeated the Kappa Kappa Gammas to win the table tennis finals in intramural competition. The complete re sults of the badminton and volley ball tournaments were not avail able and will appear in tomor row's Collegian. Umpires are needed for intra mural softball games on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday ,and Thurs day nights. Any girl with a knowledge of the game is asked to sign up. The girls need not be physical education majors and no previous experience is necessary. Gamma Phi Wins Softball Gamma Phi Beta won 11-4 in its two-inning softball game Wed ne sd a y night with Chi Omega. Jean Garretson made a home run, Ish Piccone, Connie Bevan, and Betty Black each scored two runs, and Ann Courtney, Barb Sprenkle, Barbara Brown and Garretson got one run each for Gamma Phi. Jodie Bihl hit a homer for Chi 0, and Christie Post and Lou In serra each got home with walks. Joan Good made a run. AOPi won against Kappa Al pha Theta 2-1 in a one-inning game that was stopped due to darkness. Dean Brown and Kay Bitner scored runs for AOPi, and Peg Irwin got one run for the Thetas. Coeds Sign for Matrix Table; Woman Journalist To Speak Coeds invited to the Matrix Table are reminded that they must sign up at Student Union by 12 noon tomorrow if they intend coming to the dinner. Approximately 130 outstanding women on campus have been invited to the dinner at the Nittany Lion Inn 6:15 p.m. Monday. Laura Lou Brookman, mana ging editor of the Ladies' Home Journal, will be guest speaker at this 12th annual Matrix Table. Miss Brookman was born in Ver million, South Dakota. After graduating from Vermillion High School, she entered the Univer sity of Missouri and graduated with Bachelor of Arts and Bach elor of Journalism degrees. Miss Brookman then started working as a reporter and, later, as Sunday Editor of the Des Moines Register. After leaving the Register, she became Wo men's Editor of the Baltimore Post. Her next job was that of Fiction Editor of the Newspaper Enterprise Association Service in Cleveland, later going to New York to assume the position of Women's Editor of the NEA Serv_ ice.
