PAGE FOUR Low Scores Dominate IM Court Results as 9 Teams Advance Defensive strategy became the keynote of intramural basketball at Recreation hall Tuesday night as nine teams picked up their win ning verdicts in a series of the lowest-scoring battles recorded this season. Beta Sigma Rho floored the most efficient of the mediocre point making machines, knocking out 22 markers and limiting Beta Theta Pi to nine, to cop the win; while hapless Pi Lambda Phi, unable to dunk a single field-goal, made only three fouls out of eight Delta Chi’s stirring upsurge in the second half, enabling the DC’s to rally from an 8-3 halftime defi cit by scoring a dozen second-per iod points, swept the squad to a 15-11 triumph over Phi Kappa Tau in a thrill-packed battle. Other games fell between those extremes in the low-point series Alpha Chi Sigma pounded out a 19-12 win over Sigma Phi Epsilon: Chi Phi doubled Sigma Phi Al pha, 16-8; Kappa Sigma ruined the hopes of Lambda Chi Al pha, 15-7; Phi Sigma Kappa taught a 17-12 lesson to Theta XL Theta Kappa Phi outroared Delta Tau Delta, 16-12; and Kappa Del ta Rho shot past Phi Kappa, 11-6.
