Van Ormer. chairman of ticket sales for the Community Forum announced yesterday that the sale of tickets for the forum was progressing successfully. Members of the State College civic and honorary organizations which comprise the Community Forum are being conducted by their own ticket representatives. Persons who are not members of thsese organizations may secure their tickets at the Commerce Club or at the Student Union desk in Old Main. Series Tickets |3 Tickets for the series are $3 each. Single admissions are priced at $l. Both of these prices in clude federal tax. General ad mission season tickets may be ex changed for reserved seats at the Student Union desk on Thurs day, aocordng to Mr. Hugh G. Pyle, chairman of the • forum. The Community Forum is sponsored by the cooperative ef forts of 19 community groups and institutions. The first in the series of five lectures will be presented November 4. Include Kinsey Report The five speakers and their subjects include Fairfield Osborn, Who will speak on “The Plunder ed Planet;” O. Spurgeon English, “The Kinsey Report!” Quincy Howe, “The Soviet-American Future;” Hanson Baldwin, “Se curity in the Atomic Age,” and Hon. Ellis Arirll, “The South Today.” Excavation Begins On Men's Dorms Excavation work for the con struction of men’s dormitories on West Campus has begun with the removal of top soil in the area across Pollock road from the Mineral Industries building. Tttie top soil will be scraped from the whole area before ac tual digging begins, said George W. Ebert, director of the physi cal plant. By saving the soil in piles near the building sites, the College can use it later in landscaping around the completed structures. Atherton Hall Coeds Elect Unit Officers Atherton Hall unit presidents who will represent their sections in the WSGA House of Represen tatives are Ann Forrest, Northeast unit; Ella Louise Williams, South east; Helen Pond, Northwest; and Lois Kenyon, Southwest.
