PAGE TWO Today students of the College as well as residents of State College will have their chance to vote for their favorite lineman and back on Penn State's 1947 all-victorious grid eleven. It will be a difficult task to single out two individuals from a squad of 40 well trained and experienced players. According to the Licns' mentor, Bob Higgins, it is the best team he has ever coached and it doe s not have any individual stars, but Higgins states: "On my squad of 40, one fellow performs just as well as the next. It is difficult to select one player and say that he is better than the next but if this balloting is handled all right I think it is a great idea." When asked about this, Higgins unhesitatingly answered: "This is too fine a group of boys to let a thing like that cause any hard feelings." Now this selecting of the players is really some thing to think about—a team is more than just 11 men. Just because some one individual happens to be in the right spot at the right time when some news reporter happens to be watching and then the next day gets his name in the paper doesn't make him outstanding. When voting for the player, out standing play throughout the whole season should be considered.
