To date only $260 has been col lected of the $450 goal. Money re bayed by this drive is divided omong the Mifflin County Chil dren's Aid Society, the American Women's Hospitals, and the Es telle Hetzel Emergency Fund, started by Mrs. Hetzel to provide financial assistance to any student t the College. i Coeds are contacted for dona tions in their living units by a orrnitory representative work ng with Miss Lyons. In 1939 a total of $196 was collected; $253.50 in 1940; $127.80 in 1941; $261.90 in 1942; $408.57 in 1943; $527.25 in 1944; $550 in 1945 (which also included the United China Relief, Inc.) and $366 kat year. Women's Honorary Taps Sophomores Cwens, national sophomore women's honorary, tapped 25 girls at a ceremony and break fast at the State College Hotel Sunday morning. Miss McCall is from Upper Darby and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Mr. Beer bower is an eighth semester min ing student and is a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Seymour-Rohrbaugh Madeline L. Rohrbaugh, of Hanover, and Jack W. Seymour, of Morrisville, announced their engagement on December 5, 1947, at the Alpha Xi Delta "Candy Cane" Dance, at the State College Hotel. Miss Rohrbaugh is a sixth se mester Home Economics student, majoring in Child Development. She is the Recording Secretary of Alpha Xi Delta, a member of Tre ble Singers and the Association of Childhood Education. Seymour is a sixth semester student majoring in Hotel Ad ministration. He is a member of the Blue Key Hat Society, the Hotel Greeters Association, and the Theta Chi Fraternity. Fr ankhouse-Tinsley Lois Mae Tinsley, of Allentown, an d William Frankhouser, o f Honeybrook, .announced their en gagement on Friday, December 5. Miss Tinsley, a senior, is a Home Economics student. She is a member of the College Coop erative Society, and treasurer of the Ellen H. Richards Club. Mr. Frankhouser, graduate as sistant in metallurgy, is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Gamma Epsilon, Phi Lambda Upsilon, the American Society of Metallurg ists, and the College Cooperative Society. He served in the Army Air Corps as Lieutenant in the 398th Bombardment Group. Ray-Wolfe Joan L. Wolfe, of Philadelphia and Lenord N. Ray, Jr. of Al toona, announced their engage ment recently. Miss Wolfe is a student in Ed ucation and a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. Also she is a member of PSCA, Modern Dance Club, Westminster Choir, Thes pians, and ACE. Mr. Ray is a graduate student in Chemistry doing research work under Dr. Mack in Textile Chem istry. He is a member of Ameri can Chemical Society. Coeds are requested to wear heel s and stockings to this candle light dinner. After the meal, des sert and coffee will be served in the lounges in Atherton, and in the Dining Commons at McAllis ter Hall and Old Main. The waiters in McAllister Hall will serenade the girls with Christmas carols during the meal, and the coeds in Atherton will eat their dessert and coffee to carols played on the piano. Hammond, Dean of the School of Engineering, and the faculty committee. George Bearer, president of the Engineering Student Council, said the sheets will probably be dis tributed sometime during the week of January 5.
