CARROLL D. CHAMPLIN
Champlin Leaves
On Europe Tour
Dr. Carroll D. Champlin, pro
fessor of education at the College,
left recently on the steamship
America for Europe where he will
visit England, France, Denmark,
Norway. Sweden. Finland. Poland
and Czechoslovakia.
The group of writers, lecturers
and educators and businessmen
will visit these countries in the
interest of international welfare.
Leading the group is Jerome
Davis, free lance Writer, lecturer
and teacher as well as a theolo
gist, sociologist and internation
alist.
The men may receive a permit
to visit Russia for a few days,
they were informed by the Rus
sian Embassy in Washington. The
trip will include air trips from
London to Stockholm, Warsaur to
Prague, Prague to Paris and Paris
to New York City. Several of the
trips will be a combination of
boat and train.
Special features of the event
will be conferences and discus
sion programs on board ship, re
ception in the Parliament build
ing in London,-and a three-day
International Youth Festival in
Prague.

Construction jobs at the College
for unskilled labor will not be
available for at least three more
weeks, said Miss' Mary Gregory,
of Personnel Relations.
The .Graduate Record Examina
tion will be held in Buckout Lab
oratory August 4 and S. Registra
tion must be. completed in 311
Buckout before noon Friday.
Faculty Luncheon
Visiting faculty are ‘invited to
attend meetings of the. College
Faculty Luncheon Club held in
the Hotel State College each Mon
day at 12:20 p.m., said Jo Hays,
chairman of the steering commit
tee.
