AVC Requests No
Change in ROTC
AVC passed a resolution, Wed
nesday night, calling on the Col
lege to continue its present pol
icy concerning ROTC and return
ing veterans, said Chapter Chair
man Earl Kemmler.
A committee consisting of Leo
Troy, chairman, Robert Golden,
John Mapes and Melvin Katinsky
were selected to call on the
•Committee on Academic Stand
ards,” stating AVC’s position and
opposing the recommendation of
CoL Ben-Hu r Ohastaine.
The chapter also instructed its
delegates to the National Conven
tion to take the lead in inserting a
World Government Plank in the
AVC National Platform.
Ten dollars was voted to the
Cance r Drive and the government
was oalled on to put through a na
tional (health bill. The government
is this way would assume the re
sponsibility of subsidizing drives
so that the public would not be
continuously solicited for funds.
