Two wekes ago, Sarge an nounced the opening of a contest to select a sophomore class song for the Class of '49 to replace the song. “Class of Forty-Blank” in the Daily Collegian. The response has been feelble. A second request was therefore mode by the soph prexy yesterday afternoon for sophomores to grab a spare moment and pen a class song. “A new tune may or may not be written.” Sarge said, but it should definitely have appeal and a satisfactory rhythm.” He also stated that the song may be writ ten in the parody style with new words to an old tune.
