Sally hails from Mercer, one of those "wee little towns near• Pittsburgh," and is the eldest of three children. She's never been a queen before so naturally it's a big thrill. And the fact that her sister, Jayne, has made May Day a family affair by being elected mhid of honor adds a lot more thrill, The May Queen is in the de partment of Home Economics, majoring in institutional admin istration. She seems to be the domestic type through and through for besides making her 'own white dress for May Day, she lists cooking as her favorite pastime. "I love to cook, and collect re ceipes like mad. The only thing is I haven't tried nine-tenths of them." Also on her roster of favorites is tennis and piano. For the more personal statis tics, Sally is 5'7" tall, and weighs 130 pounds. .Her hair is a deep red, more of an auburn, and she wears it long. Probably the male animal on campus will be interested in Sally's idea of a good date. "I don't like the smooth, play boy kind. The type I like is sin cere, wants to have a good time, and likes to enter into college ac tivities." This miss has brains as well as besuty. Her activities list is long: Mortar .
