In an ef fort to determine the cause of this failure, Cab inet has appointed a chairman “to investigate the possibilities of having the tennis courts flooded for ice skating.” A recent survey has disclosed that there are only three possible places • where ice skating might be enjoyed. The Mill Poiicl, one mile east of town, Whipples Dam, 13 miles west of town and the flooded teimis courts. The Mill Pond is unsuitable because of its size and-the condition of the ice. Whipples Dam is practically inaccessible, ! which leaves only the tennis courts as a possibil ity. : A number of answers have been given to this question, the most plausible- coining from Grounds and Buildings, whose job it is to flood the courts. From this group comes the plain tive wail of, “We don’t have the men to do the work.” • Upon hearing of this excuse, Hat Societies Council promptly offered to furnish the men if Grounds and Buildings • would furnish someone to supervise the work. With this announcement they have erased the most plausible excuse yet given for not flooding the courts. From this group comes the’ plain ed for the benefit of the Penn State student body. G. ft. S. TEE COLLEGIAN Old Mania The malicious rumor that girls can’t keep a secret, obviously spread by men, has been debunked twice recently.
