Dressed in their best, these eligibles will, troop about, campus to the sorority houses and suites from 2 to 4 p. m. More than ever, freshmen will. need to use discretion in their de-. cisions. They must remember that sorority life is not one party ai:_ ter another and that most of the time sorority life consists of in formal, more natural contacts. Parties show houses at their best. So look , around, frosh, and jud ge houses on informal as well as formal ocacsions. Weigh sororities and decide if you honestly want to join one for more than superficial reasons such as appearance or popularity. • While weighing the pros and cons of joining a sorority, remem ber that some of the cons are that sororities limit friendships to a small group. Expense involved in becoming a sorority member could be put to more educational use. Time demanded by sororities and their activities take too much time from studies. On the other hand some of the pros • for becoming a Greek• are that since it is impossible to live in the houses until the .senior year, there is ample time to make friends outside the house.
