Present at the banquet were Dr. Franklin C. Banner, head of the journalism department; Dr. Stuart A. Mahuran,. professor of journalism; !Lou Bell, director of publicity for the College and ad viser to Collegian, and Jim Coog an, director of sports publicity for the College. Russian Club Kit Drive Nets 80 Contributions •Russian Club kit and clothing .drive proved to be a great suc cess, according to Margaret Bu ganich, president. It,'is estimated (hat approximately 80 kits have been filled during the drive in Which college students, faculty members, highschool pupils, and townspeople participated. Sororities and dormitories held house parties at which they pack ed kits. Russian Club held a party Monday in Old Main. Members danced and sang as they packed. The club urges that all kits be turned into Student Union by this afternoon. Members of the club wish to thank all those who aided in mak ing the drive a success. ISC Elects Officers At a recent meeting of ISC of ficers were elected for next se mester. They are: Michael Lynch, president; Edwin Frost, vice-pres ident; Ruth Zehner, secretary; Sal vatore Rocci, treasurer; 'Helen Miller, social chairman; and Hen ry Menge, historian. Forestry Losses High A listing in the September Jour nal of Forestry, Washington, D. G., of the American foresters who have been reported killed or mis sing in action discloses that the 3?ennsylvania State Forest School has suffered the heaviest losses of any of the schools of forestry in the United States.
