ergency loan fund, Mifflin County

can. Women's Hospitals.

Tentative date for the tea in

Anderson Reports
On National Panhel
Congress Meeting
Mrs. A. K. Anderson, former
Panhellenic advisor on campus
and- recently returned from a spe
cial meeting of National Panhel
lenic Congress at Chicago, spoke - to
persons attending the City Pan
hellenic League coffee hour in
southeast lounge, Atherton Hall,
last night.
Mrs, Anderson reported on the
Chicago meeting, where college
deans of women and representa
tives of the armed forces discussed
methods of better preparing wom
en to meet wartime responsibili
ties. Although nothing definite is
scheduled, Mrs. Anderson reveal
ed that there is a possibility that
training courses of from six
! months to two years will be offer
ed to equip. women to take over
jobs in industry formerly held by
'men..
Mrs. John Vandervort, president
of the City Panhellenic League,
suggested possibilities of providing
new national sororities with chap
ter rooms. The four sororities af
fected by such a measure would be
. Alpha Xi Delta, Kappa Delta, Sig
ma Delta Tau, and Zeta Tau- Al
pha.
. A plan whereby "stray Greeks"
would act as assistants to the deans
of women during rushing season
'was considered. Longer silent per
iods as a measure to save both time
and money were suggested.

larger attendance at surgical dress
ings classes.
