Dcrmitory hostesses in Irvin, Jordan, Watts, and Mac Hall re cently held special house meet ings to acnuaint new freshman and transfer coeds with dormitory rulings. Sykes '43, WSGA Judicial chairman, announced yesterday. Traditional frosh hazing, high lighted by green hair ribbons and 3 by 5 inch namecards, include holding doors open for upperciass women and staying off the grass, M'ss Sykes specified. She stated that a tug 'o way would climax the custom-wearing period. Customs may be removed each weekend from 5:30 p. in. Friday until 8 a. in. Monday, according to Judicial regulations. Special permissions will be grantel for specific occasions. Violators will be called before WSGA Judicial committee and penalized accordingly, Miss Sykes said. Custom exemptions will be made at a meeting of the commit tee next week, it was announced. Persons over 21 years of age or members of the class who have worn customs at other schools may make applications for ex emption. The Judicial chairman remind ed frosh in her announcement yesterday that closing hours this week will be at 10 o'clock tonight, at 9 o'clock tomorrow night, and an 11 o'clock for the night on which coeds attend a WSGA mixer. •Frosh not attending mix ers should be in dormitories by the 9:30 closing hour. During the three week no-dat ing period, coeds will be in at 9 p. m. on week days and at 9:30 p. m. weekends. Following the three weeks, permissions will in clude a 10 o'clock and a 1 o'clock each weekend. Miss Sykes announced that with the start 'of Fall semester classes, upperclass women would again have 10 o'clock permissions on week nights. Doors will close at 11 p. m. tonight. Second semes ter seniors are entitled to 11 o'clock daily. The Senate Committee on Stu dent Welfare has taken no action on the proposed rushing code, but a decision will be made this week.
