Perhaps in the hub-bub of ad justing to the three-semester plan, final bluebooks, early registration, and the like, little thought has been given to the situation._ First consideration is the prob lem Of throughout the .year . To accomplish this, several factors 'are imperative. ChapterS must be assured of an adequate number _of members in. College during summer months, in particu lar, so that their activities' may • continue. Of these members it is most important to be assured .of having officers in College. There must be no IE.-ps'e in their administra tion. Duties and decisions that they must assume during their terms will be too weighty to fling far and wide. • Because there will be gradua tion in December for present jun iors, election of new officers will be essential during the fall. Pres ent sophomores will be graduated in August, 1943. That "necessi tates, elections again in a few months., Since many'in these classes will be dropping out for the extra se mester, Careful thought must be given to women who will be able to carry out their terms efficiently and without a break._ Chapters- full-tilt; dur ing the - entire year will also re- quire certain' budget economies . Members will, in the long run, be spending less for 'dues than they would if semesters welt longer. With fewer women attending sure= inei sessions, - the only answer is to economize so that limited in comes may_ be stretched to cover necessities. Problems of this nature must be faced before they hit with su perman force. .
