Bakura's record broke the one he had established. last spring against Navy • of 13 feet 334 inches. In winning the century spring Ewell had his best time -of the season, 9.6. To Tigers ; Way Tie Lions, Princeton, Hoyas To Meet By DAVE SAMUELS By losing their first match of the season to Princeton 5-4 Sat urday morning, the Lion golfers today found themselves tied for first place in the Southern Divi sion of the Eastern Intercollegi ate Golf Association. Tied with the Lions are Prince ton and Georgetown, defending champion. The three teams will battle it out next Friday at Stan ford, Conn., for the right to meet Yale, the Northern division lead er, on Saturday for the EIGA title. The Lion-Tiger match was de cided in the second foursome by Bob Boynton's 20-foot putt on the 18th hole. Nittanymen Cap tain Jack Brand and Don Hart had won the third foursome for State, and Princeton had taken the first foursome to tie the score 3 all. The second four some, however, was split be tween Princeton's Arnold Zim merman and State's Chuck See bold until Boynton's shot gave the Tigers the edge with the best ball point. State retaliated in the after noon match to score an easy 6-3 triump over Penn. The Lions made a clean sweep of the sec ond foursome, took best ball and one match in the first, and won one match in the third. In other matches played Satur day, Georgetown, after bowing to State Friday, rallied the next day to get a double killing over Pitt and Cornell. Penn trounced Cornell, 8-1, in the morning and Princeton defeated Pittsburgh, 7-2, in the afternoon. Dick Harris, captain of the Georgetown team, took medal honors for the week-end by shooting a 67 over the College course on Saturday afternoon. Penn State's Art Hand and Charles Senft placed fifth and sixth respectively in the rope climb. NYU Football Game To Be Played At Night Penn State will play the first night game in its football history with New York University on the New York Polo Grounds Fri day, October 31, the Athletic Ad visory Board decided Saturday morning. Originally scheduled for Sat urday, November 1, the NYU game was advanced to Friday night because three other major games are scheduled in New York on Saturday: Army-Notre Dame, Cornell-Columbia, and Purdue-Fordham.
