May foil / I Council- And Board Are The - Elected, Representative Bodies Govei-izing Penn State's Association --.-The ,Aluinni Association is going to be very much in the student eye next week. What about it ? It was created in 1870 to be of service to each alumnus as an individual, to all alumni as a group, and to the college it represent&,. For more than 70 years it has continued to do that duty. The governing body of the- alumni association is the alumni council. This council.is composed of men and women elected by designated alumni districts, with one represen tative for the first 50 and one for each additional 100 alumni in the district. There are separate districts. for men and women, guaranteeing that both shall have their prOportionate repreSentation. Each alumni distfict has the privilege of making nom inations for the council, keeping in mind that only paid-up It's the student life that makes the alumni life important.
