Judge the standards of the house by its rushing policies. If the mem bers talk down other houses or weep and gush over you they are not worth consideration. If the house -breaks the rushing code to contact you during silent per iods you can reason that its other promises won’t be kept. Don'i lei the house, if there is one, and its appearance influence your choice, Don't, seek advice from campus men or women, since their re marks might be based on inter ests which differ from yours. Don't consider such superficial claims as the founding date, ber of chapters, and outward'ap pearance of the members of prime importance. Don't think that being a sor ority woman is an insurance pol icy for dates —as always that de pends on you. Don't think that a sorority pin is something to be worn as a feather in your .cap. Join only if you are sure you will fit into the group and its interests. Don't fail to investigate the truth of promises about things to happen in the future, since more than likely they will al ways remain just promises. Don't go to more than one formal dinner unless you are still undecided. It is just as unfair for you to keep a house dangling as it is for the house to be insincere with you. Don't list more than one. house on your preference sheet unless you would willingly join the house of your second choice. Don't pledge if your choice is still uncertain on Sunday. There is plenty of time to make the final selection during open rush ing season which starts two weeks after the present concen trated period.
