Page Four CINEMA NIA "Every Saturday Night," which plays at the Cathaum today, hasn't a name in the cast and we strongly sus pect'that the story is a familiar one-- but in spite of that it probably won't be a waste of time. Jed Prouty, char acter. actor from way back; June Lang, playing her first featured role; and Thomas Beck have the chief roles. The story is about a family quite typical of the modern slay—an old fashioned lather with a flock of up to-date youngsters. Most of the par ents' time is spent in reprimanding the children for their misbehavior and in 'moaning that in the "good old days" they did no oath things. When an emergency rises its the younger generation that comes through and saves the day. Dad Evers finally realizes that perhaps the situ ation isn't as bad as he has believed it to be. _ . "The Bohemian Girl,' starring Stan Laurel and ,Oliver Hardy, plays tomorrow at the Cathaum and jolly good fun is will be, too. Going back to the Bake, operetta of; some 93 years ago, a tuneful extravaganza is the result and those who chuckled at "Babes in 'Toyland" will undoubtedly enjoy this. The music is capably handled un der the direetion.of Nat Shilkret and sandwiched between the comic. inter ludes that feature the fooleries of Laurel and Hardy and the hilarious villainies of Antonio Moreno and Mae Busch, The adventures of this zany ,pair as members of a raggle-taggle gypsy band and especially their experiences as they try to mother baby Arline make many laughs.
