By 808 GRUBB Freddy Machmer '3O and John Co letti '36 will vie for the all-College golf championship in a 36-hole match play round tomorrow afternoon. Machmer fought his way to the fi nal round after a spectacular triumph over Jay Albbre last week, winning I up, on the twentieth hole. • Albere was three down mi.the .eighth and then recovered to take the ninth and tenth holes. Albere lost.the eleventh hole by de fault when he struck sand on the backswing in endeavoring to get out of a trap. All even on the eighteenth, the pair was forced to play the two extra. holes to decide the match. Ed Caughey staged :in upset to de feat Bill Gross, 2 and 1, in the semi finals of the second sixteen. Gross placed third in the finals of the P. L A. A. golf tournament held here last spring. Caughey has still to meet Klingen smith, the winner of this Match to meet Burkett. Burkett defeated Pow ell, 3 and 1, in their match last week. A silver loving cup will be awarded to the winner of the •tournament, while the runner-up and 'the winner of the second flight and runner-up in that flight will receive medals.
