Lederer Rebukes Council's Decision In Campbell Case "As long as I am , in office, I will continue to regard the rights •of the students here as of paramount im portance," said Burgess Eugene E. Lederer in attempting to - justify his re-suspension of Officer Campbell of the local police force. Taking statements from several students, the Burgess suspended Campbell from the town police after investigating the manner in which he attempted to handle the student paja ma parade of last Tuesday night. At that time, Campbell is alleged to have fired a gun into the air while at tempting to disperse the parade. At.the regular meeting of the town council• Monday night, Officer Camp bell was re-instated on the. police force. The first official act of Bur gess Lederer as he entered his office at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning was again to suspend the officer. • "I shall continue to suspend Camp bell just as long as the council re instates him on the force," Lederer declared. ."He was suspended for two weeks, and until he has served that time, he will not be a member of my fcirce. Students' rights must be . re spected during the balance of my term of 'office." CLASSIFIED BALLROOM DANCING INSTRUCTION Individual nodal dancing instruction. .'Call 770.3 or 811.
