Friday, March 30, 1928 WOMEN Katherine Holbrook '2B Assistant Editor MMME3 Agnes E Genry '29 Margaret M Mercer '2D Besslo I. Wolfson '29 THE FUTURE OF PENN STATE If someone said to you, "The future of the college is to your hands , ", what would you think. Very probably you would laugh, and say "What nonsense!" Nev ertheless, that is Just the situa tion. Paramount among the questions which will come before the voters of the Commonwealth of Pennsyl vania at the nest voting time is that of the eight million dollar bond issue for Penn State. It is on the success or failure of this issue that the success or failure of Penn State rests. • _ . Many people know nothing at all about the college and its needs. Your part comes in selling the bond issue to the folks at home. If every girl in college would tokc up this matter to all the voters with whom she comes in contact during the vacation, it might mean the difference between success and failure. This bond issue means as much, or more, to the girls as to the men. One ot the first questions asked by visitors from national women's fraternities is "What future has the college' , " The passing of the bond issue will mean lust that much more to tell these women, and hasten the advent of national women's fratei nines on our cam pus. With the e•pansion which will be made possible by the bond is sue, more girls will be able to come here Let every girl take it upon herself to convert at least twenty-five voters to the cause, and as the girls come from every cor ner of the state, this will be doing unmeasurable good towards cre ating a "bigger and better Penn State " The future of Penn State is in your hands. What are you going to do about it?
