WOMEN
"CO-OPERATION
The greatest step forward that
has yet been made to securing co
operation between the town and
campus girls of Penn State was:
the passing of the amendment to'
the ,W. S. G. A. constitution pro
viding for a Town Gills' senator.
The town girls will vote for
their first senator at their annual
election on June first, second and
third. Before then they should
consider most carefully to whom
they want to give this ni..w honor
and responsibility
According to the constitution. of
their organization, the senator
must be elected from the Junior
class, so that she - will be a Senior
during her term of office. Aside
from the constitutional' require
ments, the girls should choose one
who has the interest of the town
girls at heart, who is willing to
give her time and energy to fur
thering their interests, who has a
knowledge of their needs and an
understanding Of the situation,
and has proved this.
This newly acquired privilege of
teprescntation in the Senate gives
a real opportunity for the town and
campus girls to begin co-operating
with each other. In the past thts
has been lacking It has been as
much the fault of one as the other.
Here is the town girls chance to
prove their willingness to go half
way, as the campus girls did in
supporting the amendment, to pro
mote a spirit of good feeling
among all women students at Penn
State by coming out one one hun
dred per cent strong to vote

With the extension of the lion jack

autograph collectors on the Penn State
campus. At the approximate rate of

, error approaches a victim, fountain
pen extended ominously., and says,
"Will you sign my lion coat, please , "
Then she turns her back and the chef,-
en one patiently inscribes her "John
Hancock" on some portion of the ex
panse of white duck which surrounds
tilt blue lion.
Never before have the girls been
ablo to indulge in the fascinating
pass-time of collection autographs in
just this form, for until this year they
1 have shown their seniority by carry
ing canes, and who could collect auto
graphs on a wooden cane unless she

take both time and shill as a wood

Years from now these autographs

are now, for they will be poignant re
