Minnesota Idaho vs. Stanford STATE COLLEGE, PA., FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1924 Eleven Men and Their Responsibility Penn State will face Syracuse University tomorrow afternoon on New Beaver Field in the biggest home game of the season. Hosts of graduates are returning for the game in celebration of Alumni Home Coming Day. All told, tomorrow will mean much to Penn State. Syracuse is coming to State College shpremely confident of win ning from Penn State. Critics all agree that the New Yorkers should easily do what Georgia Tech did a week ago. Yet it is traditional for Penn State to have a fighting team. It is traditional that a Penn State team is the hardest team in the country to defeat on its home gridiron. The determination of whether or not tomorrow will witness a real Penn State fight, front whistle to whistle. rests squarely upon the shoulders of eleven men—the players who will be sent into the game as representatives of Penn State. For the final eleven minutes last Saturday at Atlanta, a typical fighting, battling Penn State team was in action. Tomorrow that team must battle for sixty minutes. The student body is putting the responsibility right up to the members of the football squad. They want each and every player who enters that game tomorrow to realiz.:, tam he is shouldering the responsibility of making good for Penn State. And the students want them to fight as no Penn State team has ever fought before. Penn State gridiron warriors, it is up to you. The coaches have done their part and done it well. They can do no more. The stu dents and alumni are solidly behind you and will carry on to their best ability during the sixty minutes of play. But ;hat game is not going to be decided by the coaches, or by the students, or by the alumni. It is going' to be decided by you eleven men who carry Penn State honor and tradition on to that field. When your opponent charges hard. you must charge harder. When he runs fast, you must run faster. And Penn State playt:rs must Fight, fight, fight for even• minute. every second. of that game. Men of the team. the faith of Penn State is being placed in you. You must not fail! SCORE OF YEARLINGS GIVEN HEARINGS BEFORE TRIBUNAL eit on, et. t zh enjoyetl the prieul . v..
