Only hard luck can prevent State from having one of the best terns in years. State last year was miser ably weak in pitchers however this year, the pitching department will be our greatest assets. With a strong twirling staff, combined with a fast infield and a hard hitting outfield, the team has all elements necessary for sueccss. A believer of “unity and co-op eration are the secret of success’’ Coach Harley is working hard to develope an evenly balanced team; a machine, every part working in unison. The will be picked from such veterans as Weber, Robison, Bachman, Blythe and Eliffe al though Kaunas TB, Sullivan and Mingle T 8 are out fighting and causing Coach Harley to make numerable shifts. “Doc” Crawford and Josephson will be the nucleus of the team’s outfield. The third man will be selected from Kern, Kominars, Scollins and a host of some good 1918 men. Hesselbacher, Wardwell and Liebert are now in mid —season form. To help these first class hurlers, a foruth man will be add ed; He will be chosen from Johnston, Tobin, Craig and Mc- Connell. There is an interesting battle be tween Moore T 8 and Miller T 6 as who shall be the second string catcher. Inter-fraternity Bowling League Another inter-fraternity bowling tournament has been started. The last one was won by the Alpha Delta Sigma fraternity.
