THE CANADIAN ROCKIES Col. Nox McCain's 'Lecture Last Night Was By Far Better Than Anything He Has Given Here Before. Last night the celebrated Col. Nox McCain gave his illustrated lecture on "Canada and Canadian Rockies"in the Auditorium withgreat sucsess. Col. McCain's personality, which adds so much to his lectures, 'was felt by all who attended the lecture. The speaker commanded the individual attention of his ap preciative audience and it followed him with such eagerness from snowy summits to smiling valleys that one readily could believe the whole scene actually laid out before him. With the slide views of the huge, frowning mountains, one reflected on man's insignificance and the limitations on his powers; with -views of beauty spots, and at Lake Louise, a sense of indescrible calm ness seemed to come. Nearly every emotion was experienced by the audience under the spell of the scenes shown and de3cribed. When the last view had been thrown on the screen and the last word spoken, the audience, without a doubt, felt that Col. McCain is deserving of all of his. success and and fame as a lecturer. It is such lectures as this which serve to broaden one's general edu cation and familiarize those viiho have never had the opportunity to view the reality, with an idea of the More beautiftil natural scenery to be found in America. It is just such men as Col. Mc- Cain that are doing a great work in awakening us to. the glory and pow er of nature and we hope r to have him with us again in the near future. CALENDAR.
