This organiza tion is a Lew innovation, meetings being held at various times during the year when experts on horticult ural subjects are heard.and questions of interest to all are discussed. As this was the final meeting of the term, some of the seniors graduat ing in the course in ,Horticulture gave interesting talks, , all of which were of utmost interest to the men present. Prof. Watts, the head of this progressing department ot Hor ticulture had slides prepared from photographs taken while on the re cent Soils-Horticulture Inspection Trip through the eastern state; and threw them upon the screen to give an idea as to what a great extent market gardening and fruit growing are carried on in the east. After good, helpful speeches by President Sparks, bean Hunt and Prof. Agee, those present settled down to a de licious feed consi ting of ice cream, strawberries, and cake, 'thus conclud ing the prolpm of the evening's en tertainment. Positions of 1910 Engineers. The School of Engineering has received appAications for .a very much larger 'number of men than could be supplied by the depart ments of Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. Likewis4, men are now being called for along the lines of Civil and Sanitary En gineering, and the number will soon equal those of the departments named above. As a matter of interest, the de mand for engineering graduates is greater than ever before in the history of the college."
